Cellulite Machines, do they exist ?

July 15th, 2007 · No Comments

Ask any woman today what her biggest dislikes are, and you can pretty much guarantee that cellulite will be near the top of the list. More an embarrassing physical condition than a medical one, cellulite affects almost ninety per cent of all women, and can come in a variety of forms. Whether it’s a little, almost imperceptible blemish on a thigh, to the more noticeable kind that gives the well-known “orange peel” effect around the hips and posterior, it’s a common feature in women’s lives. That doesn’t make it easier to tolerate, though.  In recent times, so called “Cellulite Machines” have been brought to the market to try and combat cellulite.

While they may not get rid of the marks altogether, some can have such an effect that the visibility of cellulite can be greatly reduced. Apart from creams and lotions that you can buy at your pharmacy, there are three particularly common “Cellulite Machine” treatments available:

* Laser Treatment – this is one of the most effective treatments currently available to combat cellulite and its effects. Carried out by a surgeon in hospital, laser treatment involves loosening the fat that is found under your skin with the use of the laser. Then the fat is sucked out from your body via a small vacuum tube that is inserted underneath your skin. Since the fat that causes cellulite is removed completely, the results are extremely effective, and the good news is that it’s fairly painless too.

* Radio Frequency and Infra-Red Massage – another popular and reasonably painless method is one that is similar to the laser treatment, with the exception that instead of laser, the fat is removed via infra-red light attacking the area of fat involved, and basically melting the fat before draining it away. However, like laser treatment, since it’s an “instant fix”, the underlying problem will still be there, so you will need to exercise to ensure that the cellulite does not return

* Deep mechanical massage – also known as Endermologie treatment, involves a massaging “Cellulite Machine” with cylindrical rotary devices, which uses a small motor to continuously massage the cellulite-affected areas. Since your skin is constantly being lifted and massaged, this redistributes the toned skin and helps reduce the effect and appearance of the cellulite itself.

Like any treatment, however, the success rate depends on the skin itself, and the severity of the cellulite. Should you feel that your have such cellulite that you wish to try these various treatments, the best approach is to talk to your doctor first, who can give you an unbiased account of what he or she thinks would be most suitable “Cellular Machine” treatment for you.
